You Made a Difference Award
The You Made a Difference Award is a monthly award that recognises a member of staff or a team who has gone above and beyond in their job. Any patient, family member or friend of the patient, colleague, manager, or person can put a nominee forward by completing a nomination form.
Please provide as much information as possible about your nominee and try to explain what their actual contribution was. Please fill out their full name and department/ward information as requested.
How do I write a nomination?
The most important thing is to express your heartfelt appreciation and gratitude. Ensure you give evidence of what the nominee has done and how they’ve made things better for yourself or others. Words can include:
kind – caring – compassionate – trustworthy – inspirational – helpful – hardworking – persuasive – skilled – positive – focused – wonderful – supportive – resourceful – enthusiastic – sympathetic – admired – vibrant - responsible – happy – articulate – diligent – dedicated – supportive – unique – generous
- Have you received care from someone who goes above and beyond what is expected of them?
- Do you know of someone who has done an outstanding piece of work which is benefiting patient care?
- Have you met a member of staff who has overcome obstacles to give you excellent care?
Then please tell us how they did this. Thank you. Even being nominated can mean so much to our staff.
Every month, we review nominations from patients, visitors and members of staff to identify a winner. The stronger the nomination the better the chance of winning.
