We’ve held our first robotic surgery ‘super week’ for joint replacements, completing 17 operations, a mix of hip and knee replacements, across five days.

We’ve implanted our first ‘brain pacemaker’ which aims to reduce seizures for people with drug resistant focal epilepsy (where seizures start in one specific area of the brain).

We’ve broken our own record for the number of gallbladder, hernia and colorectal operations completed in a day. On Saturday 1 August, 20 patients who had experienced waits of up to 40 weeks were treated at our Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital. Our previous record was 19.
