We’re encouraging more people to join our team by releasing a short film.

In the film, our staff talk about the reasons why they love working for us, and why others should come and join them.

Occupation therapist Elyscia Howell said: “Why I love working for BHRUT is it’s like a family, it’s the people.

“Come along and see for yourself. Apply and come join us.”

Other colleagues, including doctors, ward sisters, nursing staff and consultants also share their own reasons for working here, including the location, career progression, the diversity of patients and the ability to continue to build your skills and that it’s never dull.

The health and wellbeing of staff is also a high priority for us and Elyscia praised the variety of exercise classes and activities on offer, including our staff choir, Sound of Pride.

Alan Wishart, Associate Director of Workforce, said: “Recruiting the right staff for our hospitals is absolutely key in ensuring we can provide the highest quality care possible to our patients.

“Nationally trusts are experiencing difficulties in recruiting to some areas, such as emergency departments, and more specialised roles can also be more challenging to recruit. Therefore as well as our usual channels and networks, we’re looking for new and innovative ways to encourage the right people to join us, such as this film.”

You can watch the film on our YouTube channel. It has already been viewed over 8,000 times via the Trust’s Facebook page.
