Our new Advanced Learning Needs Specialist, Abi Abe

Abisola Abe

Abisola Abe Staff at our Trust with additional learning needs or difficulties now have extra support to help them with their education and development, thanks to our newly recruited Advanced Learning Needs Specialist, Abi Abe.

Abi, who has worked at our Trust for four years, will support colleagues to enable them to complete education programmes and advance their careers.

Abi said: “I’m delighted with my new role and I’m very excited to help my colleagues achieve their full potential.

“Often, the support in place for people with additional learning needs or difficulties ends when they leave school. As a Trust, we’re committed to an inclusive approach to continuing learning for all staff and I’m keen to encourage and break down barriers to learning and development without any limitations.”

As an anchor employer, we are committed to developing our staff and growing our own workforce.

Our BHR Academy aims to provide rewarding careers for residents in our communities and we're in the middle of recruiting 50 ward clerks, which contributes to our target of enabling 150 local people to take up work experience and/or apprenticeships with us by March 2023.
