Have your say on the future of your local hospitals

Before the pandemic, we engaged with our patients, public, stakeholder and staff to develop a draft ‘clinical strategy’ – this is a plan that sets out how we deliver sustainable services to meet the needs of our  communities and ensures we continue to provide high quality care now and in the future.

When the pandemic struck in March 2020 we had to re-focus our attention and pause the completion of the strategy.

We now believe it is the right time to refresh this work and it is vital we involve our communities in its development.

Chief Medical Officer Magda Smith said: “Covid-19 has changed the way we operate. We know some of the changes we have made have improved the way our patients access their care and we want to ensure these are reflected in our strategy.

“At the same time we know the pandemic has highlighted inequalities and the strategy must address these too.

“Understanding the views of our local communities is crucial in making sure we get it right and I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage our patients and local residents to get involved and have their say.”

The survey is available to complete online. Responses will be combined with stakeholder and staff feedback and used to develop proposed new models of care. This will not be done in isolation; we are working closely with our NHS and local authority colleagues across north east London.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and shape the future of your local hospital services.

The survey will close on Sunday 19 September.
