From Friday 25 to Wednesday 30 July, resident doctors (formerly known as junior doctors) will be taking strike action. During this time, our services will be under increased pressure.

Getting the right care

Please help us make sure emergency care is available for those who need it most:

Appointments and planned care

Some outpatient appointments and non-urgent surgeries have had to be rearranged.

  • If your appointment is affected, we will contact you directly.
  • If you do not hear from us, please attend your appointment as planned.

Get the right care this Bank Holiday weekend

If you or someone close to you should become unwell over the Bank Holiday weekend, there are lots of options for you to get the care you need, saving you a long wait, so you can get back to enjoying your extra time off.

There are lots of additional appointments available at local GP hubs over the weekend, including on Bank Holiday Monday until 8pm. These can be booked on the same day by calling 020 3770 1888, or NHS 111.

And remember for more minor ailments, local pharmacists can help, saving a trip to see the doctor. Lots of pharmacies across our three boroughs will be open over the weekend.

Our emergency departments are there to provide emergency care. Unless it’s a real emergency, you can save yourself time by being seen elsewhere, and allow us to focus on those who really need us.

All the information you need is on our get the right care for you page.
