We’re encouraging student nurses to secure their first job at one of our hospitals, inviting them along to our open day on Saturday 10 March.

We’ll be giving interviews on the day and those who are successful will be offered a job with us there and then!

Student nurses are encouraged to apply online before the open day to make the process even speedier. More information is on our work for us page.

At the event, which will be held from 9am to 3pm at Queen’s Hospital, students will be able to find out more about the different specialties we offer, as well as what support and encouragement we provide to help them get their nursing career off to a flying start.

Our Chief Nurse Kathryn Halford said: “Ours is a really interesting Trust to work for, we’re one of the largest acute Trusts in London and one of the things many of our staff like about working with us is the variety, as well as the large supportive network we offer.

“We are also the first Trust to introduce additional support for new nurses and midwives with a mentorship scheme. Senior nurses act as mentors for younger and less experience team members, providing all the support and guidance they need to settle in and progress in their nursing career, as part of our Senior Intern Programme.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming lots of student nurses to our hospital for our open day, and encourage them to get online and get their application in beforehand too.”
