We’ve held a series of events this week in preparation for the King’s Coronation on Saturday 6 May.

Events included staff baking competitions, prizes for the best decorated area, and judging a Coronation themed art competition submitted by local children, which many staff across our hospitals enjoyed taking part in.

We were also delighted to welcome Faruk Choudhury, Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, and Thavathuray Jeyaranjan, Mayor of Redbridge who helped crown the winner of our baking competitions.

After her visit to wards at King George Hospital, our Chair Jacqui Smith said there had been “a phenomenal amount of effort” from everyone across the Trust and it had been a great opportunity to “bring teams together and have a bit of fun”.
