Recruiting for Difference to our Executive team

We are currently recruiting to three key permanent executive level roles – and this time, we’re doing it differently.

Culture in any organisation is led from the very top – that starts with our Executive team.

The team needs to reflect the diversity of our staff and our communities, who come from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

And HOW they lead is equally, if not more, important than just their technical knowledge.

We’re using a process called Recruiting for Difference to appoint our Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer, and Director of Strategy and Partnerships.

Applicants will be shortlisted for interview based solely on the responses they give to the scenarios and key questions posed as part of their submission. By removing any option to provide personal information, the process is unbiased and every candidate has the fairest opportunity to be assessed on what they will bring to the role.

Recruiting for Difference helps us understand what insights and difference of perspective they can bring from their background to open up opportunities for staff to realise their ambitions, and draws out those candidates who are thoughtful and inquisitive about the barriers that patients and staff face.

Ultimately it will allow us to get the right people in post - leaders who bring out the best in us all, and who can use their own personal and professional experience in a positive way to influence the changes we need to make to radically improve the health of the population we serve.
