“I am delighted that NHS Improvement has extended my appointment as Chair of our Trust for a further three years until October 2021.

“Having managed to stabilise things in the past year, this additional term will give our Trust more certainty of leadership, as well as the continuity to do the vital work needed to continue to improve the quality of care we provide, and outcomes for our patients.

“It will also ensure we are robust in delivering our Financial Recovery Plan and achieve financial stability and have the added benefit for our health economy of close alignment due to my continued term of office at NELFT. This will enable me as 'chair in common' to support the wider agenda for our Integrated Care System in Barking, Havering and Redbridge and our intentions to transform healthcare, prevention and wellbeing for the communities we serve.”
