Red extreme heat warning

Very high temperatures are expected this week, so we’re asking everyone to take a little extra care if you’re visiting one of our hospitals.

Our teams are working hard to keep services running safely.

Please take a few simple steps to stay safe and comfortable:

Can’t make your appointment?

If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Find out more on how to manage your appointment.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep our patients, visitors and staff safe during the hot weather.

“It’s great to be outside, meeting people, and exercising at the same time.”

On Saturday 24 June we held our first ‘Run with your Doctor’ event in Raphael Park, Romford, organised by Anjum Misbahuddin, a neurologist at our Trust.

The event saw 28 runners sign up to run, walk, or jog alongside some of our doctors.

While Anjum initially organised the run for those looking to take the first steps in their road to fitness, it was also a good opportunity for those taking part to gather with other likeminded people, meet some of our doctors, and get some general health advice.

Sarah Clements, who took part in the run said: “It’s nice to meet so many people from the hospital and others too. It’s great to be outside, meeting people, and exercising at the same time.”

Reflecting on the event, Anjum Misbahuddin said: “I was so pleased those who attended seemed to enjoy the run, as well as the social aspect of it. I truly hope they are inspired to continue to exercise.

“Thank you to all the staff who helped organise the event and took part.”
