Better care for our patients thanks to devolution deal

A devolution deal for London was signed today (Thursday 16 November) by the Mayor of London, Health Secretary and other healthcare leaders, which is a step towards better health and care integration across our three boroughs; Havering, Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge.
We’re part of one of five London devolution pilots and have been working with our partners since 2015 to develop an accountable care system, led and delivered by NHS and council partners. This will improve patient care by keeping people out of hospital and in their own homes as much as possible, reducing the cost of unnecessary hospital care which can be spent improving care in other areas.
