Miss Jane Alsop

Jane surrounded by some of the staff who cared for her during her long stay at Queen's Hospital Jane Alsop from Dagenham was discharged from Sahara A ward at Queen’s Hospital earlier this week after a lengthy stay of 99 days.

Jane, who works in community care, described battling Covid-19 as “scary” and said our rehab team had to essentially help her learn how to walk again.

The 54-year-old was discharged on Tuesday 16 February and is looking forward to making up for lost time with her loved ones.

She said: "I've not seen my son since October and I missed his birthday; it's been really difficult."

Speaking on the care she received from our staff, Jane said: "They’ve all been amazing, I’ve liked to keep them on their toes! But I really appreciate everything they've done for me. I feel lucky to be on the road to recovery."

We wish you well with your continued recovery, Jane!
