Resident doctor strike: 14–19 November

From Friday 14 to Wednesday 19 November, resident doctors (formerly known as junior doctors) will be taking strike action.

This will have a significant impact on services across our hospitals, particularly as our teams are currently adjusting to a new way of working following the introduction of our electronic patient record.

Getting the right care

Please help us make sure emergency care is available for those who need it most:

Only attend A&E in life-threatening emergencies.
For non-urgent issues, please contact your GP, your local pharmacy, or NHS 111 (online or by phone). More information is on our get the right care for you page.

Appointments and planned care

If your appointment is affected, we will contact you directly.
If you do not hear from us, please attend your appointment as planned.

I came to be a patient at Queen's hospital in December 2016 when I was treated with a low grade brain tumour. My care and treatment from the team on Sahara B, which is under the Specialist Medicine division, was so wonderful that I took on the role of Patient Partner for the division so I could ensure that world class care is paramount throughout the service.
