Resident doctor strike

From Wednesday 17 to Monday 22 December, resident doctors (formerly known as junior doctors) will be taking strike action. During this time, our services will be under increased pressure.

Getting the right care

Please help us make sure emergency care is available for those who need it most:

  • Only attend A&E in life-threatening emergencies.
  • For non-urgent issues, please contact your GP, your local pharmacy, or NHS 111 (online or by phone).

Appointments and planned care

  • If your appointment is affected, we will contact you directly.
  • If you do not hear from us, please attend your appointment as planned.

Youth Forum

This is the Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Trust Youth Forum. Our sole purpose is to get young people with experience of healthcare to share their views and experience of our Trust and to help shape its future and how we deliver effective care.

We want you to tell us about good care and how we can be effective decision makers with young people in our thinking. We want to tackle issues that are important to you and improve the patient experience for all young people who engage with care at BHRUT.

We want to hear your views on the transition from young people to adult care, provide advice for clinicians to make materials more young people friendly, help with the design of adolescent room across the trust and anything else you think you can help with us.

These are some of the future projects we want you to get involved with:

  • Re designing on children's ward areas
  • Developing focussed areas for young people within adult settings
  • Supporting hospital charity with fundraising for Children's and Young people equipment within the trust

If you are interested in finding out more or want to sign up to help the youth forum, please complete this form.
