Improving access to urgent care at Queen’s Hospital

The way in which you access the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Queen’s Hospital has changed.

Now, patients use a new entrance which is further along the main hospital building, past our Maternity department. This is signposted, you just need to look for the purple signs outside the building.

Where to get the right care

Our A&E departments get very busy and we ask that you only come to A&E if you need immediate care for something that is very serious or life-threatening.

There are other options available, like NHS 111 or pharmacies, that will be able to treat you safely, comfortably and more quickly.
