Changes to car parking charges
From Monday 21 September, the cost to park at King George and Queen’s hospitals will be increasing. We’re also introducing a new 30-minute period of free parking to help those making short visits to our hospitals, including to pick up prescriptions or drop off items for patients.
We last made changes to our car parking charges in 2024 and have since carried out works to improve safety, particularly in the multistorey at Queen’s Hospital. This included upgraded lighting, additional walkways, new doors, resurfacing and applying anti-slip coating to the stairs, which could become slippery in wet weather.
The new charges (see below) are in line with local car parks as well as other NHS trusts.
