Covid-19 data for our hospitals
We will publish Covid-19 related data here about both our hospitals, King George in Goodmayes and Queen's in Romford, every Thursday.
Below is a snapshot of information taken on Wednesday 24 February - below this, you can see the data from the previous week:
- 103 in-patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19.*
- 9 in-patients newly diagnosed in the previous 24 hours.
- 8 patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19 in critical care (intensive care / high dependency). **
- 1571 patients have sadly died and had a laboratory confirmed positive Covid-19 test result within 28 days of death.
- 4605 patients with Covid-19 have recovered and been discharged. ***
- Our critical care capacity has a total occupancy rate of 76.12 per cent (excluding NICU).
- Our total staff absence rate is currently 408 (5.7 per cent), of which 7 (0.10 per cent) are in isolation and 33 (0.43 per cent) has tested positive for Covid-19.

- 156 in-patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19.*
- 31 in-patients newly diagnosed in the previous 24 hours.
- 17 patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19 in critical care (intensive care / high dependency). **
- 1543 patients have sadly died and had a laboratory confirmed positive Covid-19 test result within 28 days of death.
- 4420 patients with Covid-19 have recovered and been discharged. ***
- Our critical care capacity has a total occupancy rate of 82.61 per cent (excluding NICU).
- Our total staff absence rate is currently 416 (5.81 per cent), of which 6 (0.08 per cent) are in isolation and 48 (0.67 per cent) has tested positive for Covid-19.
* Swab taken within the last 14 days.
**This includes our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds.
***This includes medically suspected cases between March and October, not just laboratory confirmed.
