Covid-19 data for our hospitals

We will publish Covid-19 related data here about both our hospitals, King George in Goodmayes and Queen's in Romford, every Thursday.

Below is a snapshot of information taken on Wednesday 5 May - below this, you can see the data from the previous week:

  • Seven in-patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19.*
  • One in-patient newly diagnosed in the previous 24 hours.
  • Six patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19 in critical care (intensive care / high dependency). **
  • 1624 patients have sadly died and had a laboratory confirmed positive Covid-19 test result within 28 days of death.
  • 4946 patients with Covid-19 have recovered and been discharged. ***
  • Our critical care capacity has a total occupancy rate of 83.33 per cent (excluding NICU).
  • Our total staff absence rate is currently 259 (3.46 per cent), of which two (0.03 per cent) are in isolation and nine (0.12 per cent) have tested positive for Covid-19.

  • Eight in-patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19.*
  • Zero in-patient newly diagnosed in the previous 24 hours.
  • Seven patients with laboratory confirmed Covid-19 in critical care (intensive care / high dependency). **
  • 1622 patients have sadly died and had a laboratory confirmed positive Covid-19 test result within 28 days of death.
  • 4929 patients with Covid-19 have recovered and been discharged. ***
  • Our critical care capacity has a total occupancy rate of 82.76 per cent (excluding NICU).
  • Our total staff absence rate is currently 269 (3.06 per cent), of which one (0.01 per cent) is in isolation and 12 (0.17 per cent) have tested positive for Covid-19.

* Swab taken within the last 14 days.
**This includes our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds.
***This includes medically suspected cases between March and October, not just laboratory confirmed.
