Thanking staff with our family fun days

Staff, their families and friends soaked up the sunshine at King George Hospital during our family fun weekend.
Children had a blast with fairground rides, face painting, rock climbing and bouncy castles, while adults were treated to live music from the Pfizer Chiefs, a band made up of staff from BHRUT.
There was something for every appetite too, with Asian, Caribbean and Italian food on offer, plus a BBQ.
The scorching weather made ice cream a very popular dessert choice for our staff and guests and there were doughnuts too.
The Trust wanted to create a special occasion to say thank you to our staff for all of their hard work and their dedication and the fun days, held on Saturday and Sunday, allowed our staff time to relax and unwind with their loved ones.
Staff members appreciated the chance to unwind and enjoy quality time with their families and friends.
Noorayen, a sonographer at King George Hospital, visited the fun day for the first time. She decided to meet up with her colleagues who were on their lunch breaks.
Noorayen said:
The atmosphere is so nice and you can see your old friends who you don’t normally see.
Julia Ponza, who is part of the Continuous Improvement team, visited the fun day on Saturday with her best friend Zoe and her own daughter Isabella.
Julia said:
I’ve been coming to the family fun days for the past three years now. My daughter loves it, she thinks I work for the best place in the world!
These events wouldn’t have been possible with our charity and our suppliers who sponsored the event and helped make the weekend a huge success. We’re very grateful for their support.
