We have rolled out new quality boards in our adult inpatient wards, to help display important information for patients and visitors.

The new boards combine information previously displayed on panels on each ward and include details such as the ward name, contact information, and the names of the ward manager, clerk, and matron.

They also feature leaflets for patients, details about ward accreditation, and how we are listening to patient feedback to improve our care.

Chief Nurse Kathryn Halford said: “I am so pleased we have been able to update this information. It is now very clear, and patients, families, and staff can keep updated on the wards’ performances.”

The updating of quality boards will continue throughout our hospitals, with changes coming soon to maternity and paediatric areas. After that, we will turn our attention to other clinical and patient areas, including satellite sites where we provide clinical services to patients.

We are also developing new welcome boards for our main entrances.
