As we mark the international 16 days of actions against domestic violence (25 November to 10 December), we’re running our second training pilot to help managers support staff who are being abused.

King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity is launching a fundraising campaign next month, encouraging people to ‘Donate in December’ as no matter how small, all donations can make a difference. Our charity needs support more than ever this Christmas, as like most other charitable organisations, fundraising during the pandemic has been difficult, with many of the usual ways to raise money off the table due to Covid-19 restrictions, and events cancelled or postponed.

Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer for England, visited King George Hospital today (Friday 13 November). It was the first time she’d undertaken a virtual visit, using technology to see the wards, and even congratulate three nurses she’d recognised with silver Chief Nursing Officer awards.

Occupational Therapy (OT) Week drew to a close yesterday (Sunday 8 November) and while like many things we marked it a little bit differently this year, it was still a great opportunity to recognise the diverse range of OTs working across our Trust.
