Resident doctors (formally known as junior doctors) will be on strike from 7am on Wednesday 17 December to 7am on Monday 22 December.

Receptionist Sharon Piper has been recognised as an ‘Unsung Hero’ in  national awards run by the British HIV association for her dedication to make a safe space for our HIV patients.

Our Finance and Cancer teams won a healthcare value award at the Healthcare Financial Management Association Awards (HFMA) 2025 for their hard work and collaboration on improving our care for cancer patients.

Following a recent incident involving data from our Trust, there is a risk some personal data has been compromised.

A criminal group known as Cl0p stole some files from a database containing details of invoices and payments to customers and suppliers and posted them on the dark web. The files include personal details such as names and addresses of some patients and staff members.

Our maternity services at Queen’s Hospital have put their troubled past behind them and thanks to extra midwives, doctors and an improving culture have been rated good overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – previously we were requires improvement. This means the CQC believe we are performing well and meeting their expectations.

Our HIV team marked World AIDS Day by offering patients, staff, visitors and shoppers quick finger prick tests, giving their HIV status in minutes, as well as having discussions about HIV care and prevention and busting myths and misinformation around the virus.
