Our Ophthalmology team held their first ‘super week’ of 2022 from Monday 25 March, treating patients with eye conditions including glaucoma, medical retina and cataracts.

With both his parents having had their boosters, and even his 15-year-old sister getting her second vaccination dose at our hub recently, 11-year-old Azmain Sikder, of Ilford, was feeling decidedly left out.

Our Trust has achieved a Charter for People with Lived Experience (silver award), in recognition of our commitment to providing career opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, particularly those who have been in care.

Magda Smith leaves our Trust this week to start a new role as Group Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Barts Health, which we have been working in collaboration with since the height of the pandemic.
