Our future doctors, nurses and scientists were inspired during a two-day careers fair at Queen’s Hospital, with almost 1,000 primary and secondary school pupils from across Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge talking to NHS staff about their jobs.

We’re delighted to announce that Fiona Wheeler, our Chief Operating Officer, is also taking on the position of Deputy Chief Executive.

Queen’s Hospital will be encouraging schoolchildren to think about working in the NHS when it holds a careers fair for pupils from across Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. It’s expected that around 1,300 children from local primary and secondary schools will attend the event on Wednesday 3 July.

Junior doctors are on strike until 7am on Tuesday 2 July.
