Kristina Talusan, Lead Nurse for Medicine Safety and Governance, has been awarded a Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Rising Star award.

We've delivered more than 1,000 days of work experience placements this year, helping young people in our three local boroughs take their first steps towards an NHS career.  

At Queen’s Hospital, James Ward-Prowse, Maximilian Kilman, Andy Irving and Callum Wilson visited Tropical Lagoon children’s ward and Sunflower Suite chemotherapy ward, meeting patients, taking photos with fans and giving out gifts.

Resident doctors (formally known as junior doctors) will be on strike from 7am on Wednesday 17 December to 7am on Monday 22 December.

Receptionist Sharon Piper has been recognised as an ‘Unsung Hero’ in  national awards run by the British HIV association for her dedication to make a safe space for our HIV patients.

Our Finance and Cancer teams won a healthcare value award at the Healthcare Financial Management Association Awards (HFMA) 2025 for their hard work and collaboration on improving our care for cancer patients.
