Our Ophthalmology team held its seventh PrEYEority super week from Monday 12 September – seeing 1,153 patients, smashing their own target of 800 patients.

Ahead of the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen on Monday, many of our staff joined the thousands of people paying their respects by queuing for several hours to see her lying-in-state.

Following the announcement that Her Majesty the Queen’s funeral will be held on Monday 19 September, and it will be a bank holiday, we are looking at the impact this will have on our services.
