Congratulations to Ash Ward at King George Hospital, which has been awarded silver in our ward accreditation programme.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s more important than ever that we use events like this to increase understanding of this disease as since the awareness month began in the 90s, there’s been an 18% increase in the number of people diagnosed.

Final preparations are being made for the opening of a new health and wellbeing hub in Hornchurch as it gears up to welcome its first patients next week.

There was even more fun than usual happening across our children’s ward as we celebrated the national Play in Healthcare Week from Monday 14 to Friday 18 October.
