The Coronary Care Unit and Ocean B have achieved silver in our ward accreditation programme, and Iris ward has become the first to reach the threshold to be assessed for gold, as part of our drive to improve patient care.

We’ve said farewell to John Hambidge, consultant orthopaedic surgeon, who left our Trust on Friday 14 April after 13 years to start a new adventure - travelling with his wife and visiting the places he's "always wanted to visit".

Our teams have been working hard to reduce the time our patients wait for treatment. Despite challenges including the strike by junior doctors leading to delayed appointments, we’ve hit the NHS England (NHSE) target to reduce the number of patients waiting over 18 months to zero.

Professional boxer, Johnny Fisher, known as ‘The Romford Bull’, and his father, John Fisher (Tik Tok sensation 'Big John'), visited the children's ward at Queen's Hospital in Romford on Tuesday 4 April,  bringing Easter treats for children on the ward.
