Lyn Clark, a health play specialist at our Trust, is leaving today (Tuesday 30 August) after working with us for over 47 years!

Our colorectal surgery team has been recognised by the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) as an Accredited Pouch Centre – one of only 22 trusts in the UK to receive this.

Our annual plan for 2023/24 is a key output from our integrated business planning process which sets out how we will deliver operational resilience, as well as national and local priorities as we continue to work towards achieving our vision of providing outstanding healthcare to our community.

Our Maternity and Interventional Radiology teams have worked together to introduce an innovative way of treating women with Placenta Accreta Spectrum, a serious condition in pregnancy where the placenta becomes attached to the womb and will not separate after childbirth.

Our Elective Surgical Hub, which has been central in our ongoing work to reduce our waiting lists, has been shortlisted for two HSJ Awards.

Patients in north east London who are waiting for a hospital operation or treatment will benefit from a new website that provides useful information and links to local and national resources to help them manage their own health and wellbeing while they wait. 

Our Trust has been shortlisted in three categories of the Nursing Times Workforce Awards. We’re up for Best Employer for Diversity and Inclusion, Best Workplace for Learning and Development, and Overseas Nurse of the Year for Harry Galsote, who joined our Trust in January 2020 from the Philippines.
