Our hospitals feature in New York Times article

It’s not often a reporter from across the pond visits our hospitals, however, earlier this year we welcomed Mark Landler, reporter from the New York Times.

Mark, who visited us in March, was interested in how our staff were coping with the challenges they face each winter, as well as how our services were recovering from the pandemic.

He met patients and staff in our A&E at Queen’s Hospital; where a same day emergency care unit is helping to reduce waiting times; before getting to see inside of an operating theatre at our Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital.

Our surgical hub has been one of the key factors in helping us to reduce our waiting lists, since its introduction during the pandemic.
