Our neuro critical care ward at Queen’s Hospital has been recognised, under our ward accreditation scheme, for improving the care they provide.

Neuro Intensive Treatment Unit (NITU) has been awarded their bronze accreditation.

The scheme measures performance across a number of key areas including patient safety, staff wellbeing, leadership, equality and inclusion, and overall ward efficiency.

Wards are assessed by a team of nurses and subject matter experts, who provide a detailed report and rate performance as bronze, silver or gold.

Senior Sister, Georgia Page, from NITU said:

I’m so pleased for myself and the team. We worked really hard to achieve this.

“It helped us to improve our care and is a good thing for our patients and their families.

Congratulations to Neuro ITU on their achievement!
