Local version of Baby Buddy app now available in north east London

Expecting parents across our boroughs can now enjoy bespoke pregnancy information on their smart phone, as North East London (NEL) Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has launched a localised version of the free Baby Buddy app, which includes Queen’s Hospital.

NEL is the first region in the capital to include localised content on version 2.0 of the pregnancy and parenting app and working in partnership with Queen’s, The Royal London, Homerton, Whipps Cross and Newham hospitals, the app features helpful information from each of the maternity units.

Pregnant people who are booked to give birth in NEL can get additional details about their maternity unit, including specialist maternity services offered, maternity helpline and antenatal and postnatal clinic phone numbers, visitor and parking information for birth partners and links to their local Maternity Voices Partnership.

The app also includes advice from midwives and features personal care and support plans, which can help parents make informed choices about care for themselves and their babies, improving their pregnancy experience.

The Baby Buddy 2.0 app is from the parenting charity, Best Beginnings. It’s designed to help parents give their child the best start in life, with bite sized information and advice from pregnancy, to birth, to their babies first year.

To download the app for free or for more information, visit the Baby Buddy website.
