Join our emergency departments’ nursing recruitment session

Rosemarie Stewart

Rosemarie Stewart Our Emergency and Acute Care teams are holding a recruitment event for nurses who are interested in working in our friendly and fast-paced emergency departments (EDs).

Our departments at Queen’s Hospital in Romford and King George Hospital in Goodmayes are looking to grow their teams and are welcoming those who are interested in joining them to find out more at a virtual event on Tuesday 23 August.

During the session, you will hear from some of our nurses about their career paths and the personal development opportunities at our Trust, including preceptorships, education programmes, and leadership courses.

You will also hear about our culture, teamwork, and the wellbeing support available.

The positive culture in our EDs was highlighted by the CQC last year and our diverse and inclusive teams are very welcoming, so new starters are sure to settle in very quickly.

We also welcomed BBC Radio 4's PM programme to find out how we’re working hard to keep patients safe despite the ongoing pressure on the local healthcare system.

And our location on the border of London and Essex makes us easy to get to, with both hospitals having excellent transport links even if you don’t live locally.

The session will also give you more information about the opportunities available in our EDs and our recruitment process.

James Avery, Improvement Director for Emergency Care at our Trust, said: “As a team that puts quality, teamwork, and a positive culture at the heart of all we do, we are keen to share our story.

“This one-hour session will provide a unique chance to meet the team, understand the service, and find out about the development and support opportunities available.”

You can register for our recruitment session, which takes place between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday 23 August on Eventbrite. We look forward to seeing you there!
