“It feels surreal. I didn’t know I was nominated until I got the email that I was one of the finalists.

“This award highlights the determination and dedication of the team to improve our services. They continue to deliver exceptional care, ensuring patient safety and better outcomes for patients”

Starting his career at the Trust over 20 years ago, Jerry joined as an overseas staff nurse at King George Hospital and during his time he has progressed into different roles. Jerry shared how supported he felt from his team and manager.

Jerry added:

“I always felt supported by my team and management and it’s something that I have developed to help my team. It’s important to make sure I’m visible in my role and sharing my support and checking in on my colleagues.

This support we share for each other plays a part in the work we do and the recognition we have received.”
