Congratulations to Bluebell A ward for achieving silver accreditation

Staff on Bluebell A with their silver accreditation certificate

Bluebell A ward at Queen’s Hospital is the latest ward at our Trust to achieve silver in our ward accreditation scheme.

Ward accreditation is a way of improving and standardising the quality of care across our hospitals. The programme sets out clear standards and measurements to help our staff understand where they are already delivering fantastic patient care and areas where they need to improve.

Our ward accreditation scheme is led by senior nursing staff who assess wards on areas including patient experience, patient safety, staff experience, and efficiency.

Our Chief Nurse Kathryn Halford, who revealed the good news to staff, said: “It was a privilege to present Bluebell A with their silver certificate. The staff on the ward pulled together and worked incredibly hard and the improvement in patient care and experience is clear to see.”

Bluebell A is the eighth ward to achieve silver accreditation.
