Attend our Endometriosis Awareness open day

King George Hospital main entrance

Endometriosis affects one in ten people with a womb of reproductive age, affecting around 1.5 million people each year. That’s why we are keen to share the events our Endometriosis team is holding for Endometriosis Awareness Week.

Endometriosis Awareness Week takes place from Monday 18 July until Sunday 24 July and provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the condition, the impact it has on sufferers, and the work we are doing to support patients.

We are hosting many events throughout the week for GPs and stakeholders as well as a public open day on Saturday 23 July 2022 (time TBC) at King George Hospital, where the local community is invited to meet the team.

Yemi Coker, consultant gynaecologist, said: “This awareness week represents an opportunity to raise the profile of both endometriosis and the impact it has on those with the condition, as well as the excellent work of the team.

“It also provides a focus for treating those patients who have experienced long waits for treatment because of the Covid-19 pandemic."
