Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) would like to inform GP colleagues of an important service transfer affecting the Redbridge Children’s Community Nursing Service.

From Friday, 1 May 2026, the service will transfer from North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) to Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT).

Key transition dates

• Service transfer: Friday, 1 May 2026
• Business continuity period: 1–17 May 2026
• Full service resumption: Monday, 18 May 2026

During the transition period

Between 1 and 17 May 2026, the service will operate under established business continuity arrangements to ensure minimal disruption to patient care.

During this time, children known to a POSCU should receive care at their designated POSCU.

From 18 May 2026

Full service operations will resume from Monday, 18 May 2026, under BHRUT
