An East End Murder Mystery Night

Collage

On Friday, we held our first Murder Mystery Night with an old East End theme! The room was filled with enthusiastic participants who were excited to take part in solving the mystery. The Blue Tee's from The Habbit Factory stole the show with their excellent performance, engaging the room at all times.

Staff and members from our local community joined us, and we were thrilled to see some new faces as well as our regular supporters. The night began with Act one from the performance group and ended with a fun East End sing-along featuring classics like "Rule, Britannia", which had the crowd on their feet!

The evening also featured a delicious homemade cake stall and a raffle with fabulous prizes that many people happily walked away with.

A big thank you to everyone who came and contributed to making this night a success. Funds raised on the night will go towards patient enrichment to reduce boredom and anxiety.

MARVEL-lous Charity Superhero Ball

Charity team

Superheroes

On Friday 18th November, our MARVEL-lous charity ball was in full action and what an incredible evening it was! Guests were greeted by spectacular fire breathers and stilt walkers, adding flare and thrill to the bubbly and canape reception. During the evening, we were joined by the famous superheroes themselves, from Batman and Spiderman to Wonder Woman and The Joker! A fabulous three course meal was served, whilst the guests were entertained with stunning vocals from a professional jazz singer.

The event included a raffle, main auction and over 25 silent auction prizes, including golf days, restaurant vouchers and a £500 Amazon gift card! Spectacular entertainment continued throughout the evening, including a master illusion show leaving guests on the edge of their seats.

A surprise flash mob kicked off the dancing with a choreographed routine involving all the Superhero’s performing backflips and acrobatics. Then the dancing begun, and the dancefloor was full of guests dancing the night away to all the classics into the early hours of the morning.

Profits raised will help support our ongoing children’s projects throughout the year, provide children’s play, art and crafts, bravery toys and a wonderful children’s Christmas party. We have received so much amazing feedback about the event and many of you are already excited to attend next year’s ball.

Thank you to those of you who came, you are helping us provide the extras in our hospitals. If you missed out on the fun this year, make sure you don’t miss out on the next! Roll on the 2023 ball….

The Italiano extravaganza Supper Club

Italiano night

Our Italiano supper club was a success! It was our first event post lockdown and we kicked it off with a bang!

The live music from Max Curto had everyone on their feet singing along to famous Italian classics. Once everyone started dancing, they couldn’t stop! The authentic Italian dishes prepared by Linguine restaurant in Hainault received numerous compliments.

Jump for charity

Many people who make a parachute jump do so whilst raising funds for a worthwhile cause. Our charity is registered with Skyline who are the largest organisers of sponsored charity jumps in the UK.

Jump for FREE!

In return for raising a minimum amount of sponsorship money we will pay for your jump and training and you’ll be fundraising for us at the same time.

So which skydive is for me?

Option one: the Tandem

The tandem is the most popular of all skydives – perfect for the newbie adrenaline junkie, as you’ll be strapped to a fully qualified instructor who does all the work, leaving you to enjoy the view! You can book to do a tandem on your own, or with a group of friends and our airfields are open all year round. Feel the full force of flying through the clouds from over 10,000ft reaching speeds of up to 125mph! It’s a truly unforgettable experience – though just in case, you can book a video to remember your jump by!

Option two - the AFF

Your opportunity to complete a solo skydive! From 10,000 feet you will exit the aircraft on your own – an exhilarating experience and a real achievement. Two fully qualified instructors will be with you every step of the way, but you will not be strapped to either of them and will be responsible for pulling your own parachute. This involves a separate day’s extensive training.

Airfields are all across the UK so there’s bound to be one nar you. Map of UK Airfields
