If you or someone in your family does fall ill over the Bank Holiday, remember there are lots or places to get the care you need, and that you should only go to the Emergency Department in a real emergency. This will allow us to focus on the sickest patients who really need our help.

GP hubs across our three boroughs will be open throughout the weekend. You can get an appointment from 8am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, call 020 3770 1888 or NHS 111 to book.

Appointments are also available on Bank Holiday Monday as follows:

From 12noon to 5pm in Havering

From 12noon to 4pm in Barking and Dagenham

From 9am to 4pm in Redbridge.

You can also get help and advice on more minor aliments from your local pharmacist. See below for pharmacies in your local area which will be open on Bank Holiday Monday:

Havering pharmacies

Barking and Dagenham pharmacies

Redbridge pharmacies

If you need medical help fast, but it’s not life-threatening, you can call NHS 111 for free 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Remember to always dial 999 or go to the Emergency Department for life-threatening emergencies, such as chocking, chest pain, black outs and blood loss.
