We can all help to minimise the spread of infections by following some simple rules when visiting any of our or any other hospitals' wards:

• Do not visit if you are sick or have had diarrhoea and vomiting in the previous 48hrs.

• Remove your outdoor coat.

• Wash your hands with the alcohol gel provided.

• Do not sit on the patients’ beds.

• No more than 2 visitors at the bedside at one time.

• If your relative has an infection please ask for more information or ask the ward staff if you can speak to the infection prevention team.
