The opening for business of the new Queen’s Hospital in Romford and the end of an era for Harold Wood Hospital were marked by two special births.

The brand new state-of-the-art Queen’s hospital opened its doors to patients this week. Staff and patients started moving in on Wednesday 6 December.

In a complex operation, the staff and patients from ITU, the children’s unit and A and E, were the first to move to the new Queen’s hospital from Oldchurch on December 6th, 2006.
