sexual healthWe offer a range of free and confidential services for the diagnosis and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections, and a comprehensive contraception service, including services which may not be available from your GP.

Our service includes:

  • HIV testing
  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
  • Free condom supplies
  • Pregnancy tests
  • All forms of contraception including long acting reversible contraceptives and emergency contraception
  • Psychosexual counselling for impotence and other sexual health conditions 
  • General advice on safer sex
  • Please note that team 5 no longer caries our smear tests.

The service is for all ages across our three boroughs, including services specifically designed for the needs of young people.

Each person is seen and treated confidentially as an individual to discuss, in a safe and open environment, sexual health and well being, so they feel empowered to make informed choices about their sexual health. 

We offer walk-in services and booked appointments which are detailed in the attachments.

We are based at Outpatients East, Barking Community Hospital, Team 5, Queen’s Hospital and eight other community sites and can be contacted on 01708 503 838.

Our clinic teams include consultants, doctors, nurses, health advisers and healthcare assistants.
